Office Manager (P/T or F/T)
Location: EMRO HQ, Al Mokattam, Cairo, Egypt
Hours/Days: flexible, 3-5 days a week, 6 hours a day; own transportation required
Rate: up to 1000 LE (F/T)
Start date: ASAP
Requirements: experienced and with an understanding of office systems: filing, use of computer (email, word, spreadsheets). Fluent in Eglish and Arabic. Love of cats and animals. Some understanding of animal welfare issues is helpful. Some flexibility of days and hours is available, but reliability is necessary.
Duties: maintain vet sheets of cats (medicines, vaccines, operations, adoptions, etc.). Set up schedule for cats to be checked (for vaccines, operations) and coordinate with animal workers and veterinarians. Frequent liaison with other shelter staff. Reports directly to Founding Member via email. Answers phone. Monitor and intake of boarding cats and updating the boarding schedule, contact the owners of cats boarding as required (for payment or pick up, etc.). Maintenance and filing of adoption forms. Assist Adoption Manager with adoptions including maintaining adoption data base, answering emails, and ensuring cats are ready to travel (proper forms, vaccines, cages, bedding, etc). Assist Sponsorship Manager as required to keep forms up to date.
Some fundraising may be involved. Other duties as required. Ordering supplies and monitoring some staff. Other duties as required.
Assistant Office Manager (P/T or F/T) position may also be available for lesser qualified applicants.
