$10 can buy a week’s worth of disinfectant, and $25 could feed one or two cats for one month; $30 immunizations for one or two cats.
$50 to $100: Nile Level
$50 can spay or neuter one cat; $75 would pay for one Animal Shelter worker for one month, and $100 could buy one feral cat trap or cage, shipped to Egypt from the UK or the US.
$101 to $499: Cleopatra Level
$125 would pay for a junior vet’s salary for a month; $200 would help a litter of kittens get through with shots and food for their first three months; $300 would feed 15-20 cats for a month, plus some minor vet bills.
$500 to $999, Nefertiti Level
$500 would pay for the operating expense (rent, light, heat, water) of a modest sanctuary for a month; $600 would buy 6-8 cat cages, shipped in to Cairo.
$1,000 to $4,999: Horus Level
$1,200 can buy 4 cat traps, 2 nets and 3-4 other basic feral cat catching equipment shipped from the US; $1,500 will help buy veterinary supplies for 50-70 cats for a year; $2,000 could feed over 100 cats for a year.
$5,000 to $9,999: Sphynx Level
$6,000 would pay basic sanctuary (50-100 cats) operating cost for a year.
$10,000 to $99,000: King Tutankhamen Level
$10-$12,000 can buy a mini van to shuttle cats and their supplies.
$100,000+: Lapis Lazuli Level
$150,000 can buy a modest sized sanctuary land and building (about 17,000 SF or 1,700 SM) near Giza, which should house about 100 cats.
$500,000 could buy an extensive sanctuary, which could house 500+ cats.
